Counselling, Therapy & Clinical Supervision across the UK, virtually :

PLEASE NOTE THAT, DUE TO HIGH DEMAND, FROM 11th APRIL 2024 I AM UNABLE TO TAKE ON NEW CLIENTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. See my Information page for detail and updates.

Welcome to my website where you can find out about me & the counselling or supervision services I offer from my West Norfolk practice. Although based near Kings Lynn, Swaffham, Downham Market and Hunstanton, with improvements in technology I have transitioned to fully virtual, online provision of services for my clients across the UK, by telephone and secure video services. However, from October 2023 I will be offering a limited number of face to face sessions in Kings Lynn, although the introductory session remains online only.

A telephone, a smartphone or laptop equipped with Zoom or Teams, and a private space/time is all that you need to access my therapy service. Having, or creating, a private space or time where you can speak freely and without interruption is very important to the therapeutic process.

A fully qualified counsellor, therapist & clinical supervisor in West Norfolk and North Norfolk area, I am experienced working with clients across the spectrum of ages, cultures, sexual orientation and religious backgrounds. My core training is person centred, however, I offer an integrative approach across modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution focused and creative arts for those clients that find it helpful to explore troubling thoughts and feelings from a different perspective.

From my dedicated counselling & therapy room in Norfolk I offer both telephone and online video therapy, counselling and supervision, using Zoom, VSee or Microsoft Teams. I work in a collaborative, empathic and non-judgemental manner. As a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychology (BACP), National Counselling Society (NCS) & British Psychological Society (BPS), I adhere to their ethical frameworks. My specialist training & experience is with counselling children & young people, survivors of abuse (physical, sexual and emotional) & working with trauma, depression and anxiety. I have worked with clients from 4 years to 64 years old. As well as private practice, I work with charities and have also practiced in schools.

Appropriate therapy & support can be provided for survivors of abuse, both pre-trial counselling and post-trial counselling (child & adult), and those with experience of significant trauma, PTSD or helping clients with the 'tough challenges' that sometimes are overwhelming.

Whether you are an adult or a child, a parent or a carer, I offer an initial therapeutic consultation to assess if counselling is right for you at this moment in time and to ensure that we feel that there is the therapeutic connection with me as counsellor which is necessary for our work together. There will be no charge for this initial consultation.

As a counsellor, I am experienced in working with a wide range of issues including stress, depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse. I have been able to support many experiencing Complex PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) as a result of their repeated or ongoing abuse. Please see my Qualifications page for more information on my training and working areas.

Please see my Supervision page for information on my clinical supervision service available to all professionals, groups and companies.
